Weekly Store Update: 24 January

Some popular restocks are back on the shelves, we've added new games, and quite a few preorders last week (Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy anyone?) We've also snuggled up closer to the US Postal Service and added a few new publishers to our list. Another fantastically busy week!

If you're visiting and haven't read our store update before I just wanted to let you know that Eric is penning this week's (and most week's) update. Generally I'll go over some interesting store goings-on that happened last week. If you're not interested in that, you can jump to the bottom to see what Restocks, New Products, and Preorders we added last week. For those who want to hear some water cooler chat, let's get to it!

The most significant update is we've become United States Postal Service Select Business Support members. This has been a long time coming, and we had to clear quite a few hurdles to get here! While there are some neat aspects to membership, the most important one is we now have a direct line to a special USPS team to find lost or missing mail. No longer will we have to rely solely on the computer system to provide us updates. It's this service alone that interested us and it will allow us to help our internet sales customers even more. With the way 2020 went, every little bit regarding the mail definitely helps!

We've also added a few new publishers to our publisher-retail partnership group. The first is Portal Games, the makers of 51st State, Imperial Settlers, Detective, and more. They are well established and we are extremely happy to be working with them! The other is Kayenta Games. Now, Kayenta Games is a very small publishing house, but their game Obsession is worth the price of admission alone. You'll find out about the fruits of our Kayenta Games partnership in the next few weeks. 

Why publisher-retail partnerships? Establishing relationships directly with the publishers often nets us promos, demo copies, faster access to restock, and quicker access compared to our regular distribution channels. So, were always on the lookout for more!

Oh! I almost forgot another significant update, especially for the sci-fi board game fans. After a bit of cat and mouse we were able to track down and secure several copies of Eclipse - 2nd Dawn for the Galaxy from Lautapelit.fi. While technically not a Preorder, as we have the shipment coming in from Europe we set it up as a Preorder so folks can jump on it now. The games are expected to be shipped to us on January 29th! They will be here soon!
