INTRO
Welcome to our weekly newsletter! For our new readers I'm Eric, and Wendy and I run Stone Valley Games. This newsletter is our way to share both local and world-wide gaming news of interest that popped up last week. It also provides our subscribers, both local and remote, some information on the going's on around here so everyone feels like part of the action. At the bottom of this newsletter we show you the restocks, new items, and preorders added to the store last week. All in all it's not too difficult to navigate, so let's get to it!
BOARD GAME GIVEAWAY

LATEST PODCAST
Jason's back behind the microphone with his latest podcast. He's continuing the journey of his top 100 rated board games and is nestled in the 40's. This time he compares this list against Isle of Cats - it's a great listen, and we encourage you to check it out!
We recently went ahead and loaded Jason down with a ton of games to review, and it sparked his creativity. He reported back that he has really fun ideas for some of them. One of his best friends owns and runs a popular coffee shop and he might interview him, or something, for an episode around Coffee Roaster. He's also going to read Robinson Crusoe and "review" that while he reviews an episode on the board game too.

SUMMER BLOWOUT SALE
This year we're running our Summer Blowout Sale from 14 - 17 July. It's going to be our largest sale ever. We'll be kicking it off around 12 PM Central Time on the 14th and cutting it off around 2 PM Central Time on the 17th. For our local customers, as we've noticed in the past, it's generally more convenient to choose our curbside pick-up option. It's not that we don't enjoy visitors, it's just that we're traditionally swamped during our sales and you may have to undergo fairly significant wait times.
We have a few extra staff members all trained up, and we have prepositioned plenty of shopping bags as well as shipping supplies.
We've decided to go deep on these sales. How deep? We're thinking nothing under 30% with the majority of sale items at the 40% to 80% range.
It's such a large sale we cannot run it like we had in the past. Previously we would select between 100 and 300 games and set them up on their own page.
This sale is over 900 items. That's right, over 900!! That's far too many for a single webpage. So, we're going to roll the sale prices in across the entire store right where the products are today. What items will be included? We've decided to give you a sneak peak of all the items and their sale prices. Just hit this link to check it out.
You might want to Wishlist your favorites now to not lose too much time once those sale prices roll through just in case something you've had your eye on drops in price.
We'll have the banner on top of the webstore announcing the sale, and we'll have an announcement on Facebook and Twitter too.
We won't have another sale like this until Black Friday, so make sure you at least check out what we've got going on.
WORST TikTok VIDEO. EVER
We are a small store, but we do have a nice following of really friendly and loyal customers. Whenever folks stop in, we inevitably discuss games. I know, shocker.
A few of our roleplayers were in the shop looking at the new D&D books and one kind of did an impromptu dance (look...people like their source books...who am I to judge?) and I said that they should record it and give us a Tik Tok video that could go viral. It was mentioned as a joke, and everyone had a good laugh.
Well, imagine my surprise when they texted me the following video.
They were at breakfast with their friends talking about that dance in the game store and it inspired this impromptu dance.
Look, we know it's cheesy. They know it's cheesy...but people having fun is always the highlight of our day, so we had to share. I personally do appreciate one of them (the middle one) following the Whip with the Nae Nae...
In any case, we were warned that there may be more videos coming...and in the future they'd at least be in landscape. We're all for it! And...a little scared...
